‘Food insecurity’ means that little or no food is available at home, and those who are food insecure do not know how they will get their next meal.

Of San Diego County’s 3.2 million residents, 450,000 people face food insecurity every day.* Of this number, 177,000 are children.* Currently, 1 in 7 adults, and 1 in 5 children face food insecurity in San Diego County.* (*San Diego Hunger Coalition. San Diego County Food Insecurity Report, 2019.)

Paul Davis of North County will always be serving our community in whatever way we can.The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and their North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 63 million pounds of food, and the Food Bank serves, on average, 550,000 people per month in San Diego County.

Through the North County Food Bank chapter and by partnering with nearly 500 nonprofit partners with feeding programs, the Food Bank provides nutritious food to individuals and families in need in communities throughout San Diego County.

Paul Davis of North County will always be serving our community in whatever way we can.For the first time ever, Paul Davis of North County San Diego teamed up with the San Diego Food bank to host a food drive. On November 8th 2021, we started out with a lot of good intentions and two empty barrels. We received donations on site in our office as well as online via our virtual food drive. By November 30th, we had collected enough items to provide 645 meals to people in need! We are beyond grateful to everyone who helped us fight hunger and make sure that more San Diegans are getting food on their table this Holiday season. THANK YOU to everyone who donated, both in person and on our virtual drive!

In addition to helping veterans in so many ways, Wounded Warrior Homes also contributes to the lives of military children by working with ‘Toys For Tots’ every year before the Holiday Season.

Ever since 1947, when the program was started by reservist Major Bill Hendricks, Toys for Tots has distributed toys to military children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. To be able to help and serve in additional way to our every day work very much fills our buckets and hearts!

When our friends at Wounded Warrior Homes asked us if we would like to contribute to their Toys for Tots drive, we said OF COURSE! To be able to help and serve in additional ways to our every day work very much fills our buckets and hearts!
